XXXV Russian Antique Salon started on 19th of October with press-conference. In the opening speech Vasili BYCHKOV, EXPO-PARK EXHIBITION PROJECTS director, Salon organizer, told about international antique market, tendencies, Internet influence on development of antique trade.

According to Natalia KOREN, Salon director, the autumn edition of Salon is bigger than in spring, and long on special projects. Thus “Elisium Gallery” displayed for sale works by world famous painter Natalia GONCHAROVA, on the occasion of same-name exhibition in the State Tretyakov Gallery. This autumn special project is dedicated to Dutch paintings of XVII century from private collections. Its curator Vadim SADKOV explained in details the singularity and importance of collection. Honorary guests – cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Netherlands Timen KAUVENAAR and director of regulatory department of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation Kirill RYBAK also addressed speeches about the Salon. A very special gift was made by “Russian avant-garde 1920-30” gallery director Anatoly BOROVKOV to Lidia KARNAUHOVA, chief of painting fund department of the State Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts – series of watercolors on 1812 by S. GERMAN.

At 16.00 Salon opened its doors to visitors to the strains of live jazz music.

Russian Antique Salon is open till October 27th.

Opening hours: October 19th: 16.00-21.00
October 20th-27th: 12.00-20.00.
